Hello, gamers, Elias here from rivalsector.com. Well, the gates are open, Fellowship’s Early Access is live, and the grind is on. I have been absolutely buried in this game, and the number one question flooding my inbox is the big one: “Elias, who is S-Tier? Who should I main? Who is broken?”
Let me tell you, this has been a rollercoaster. The meta has shifted dramatically from the open beta, and a lot of perceptions are being shattered. After grinding endgame content, pushing Challenge League dungeons, and cross-referencing community data, I am ready to plant my flag and give you the definitive Rivalsector tier list.
This is not just about who has the biggest numbers. My rankings are based on endgame utility, skill-ceiling, survivability, and synergy with other top-tier picks. So, grab your drink, settle in, and let’s break down who is ruling the world of Fellowship right now.
What Do My Tiers Mean?
First, let’s get our terminology straight. This is how I am breaking down the roster.
- S-Tier: Meta-Defining Heroes. These are the “best of the best”. They have unmatched potential, game-winning utility, or a “high skill ceiling” that makes them invaluable in optimized groups.
- A-Tier: The Power Picks. These heroes are incredibly strong, well-rounded, and a core part of most successful teams. They might be slightly more “situational” than S-Tier, or just a tiny step behind in raw output, but they are fantastic.
- B-Tier: The Niche Specialists. These heroes are perfectly viable and can be “incredibly fun and effective”. However, they typically have a noticeable weakness, are “outpaced by current alternatives”, or are “overshadowed” by the heroes in the tiers above them.
S-Tier: The Gods of the Meta
These are the heroes that, in the right hands, define the current endgame. Their potential is just a “cut above the rest”.
Meiko (Tank)

This is probably no surprise to anyone pushing high-end content. Meiko is, in my opinion, the undisputed best tank in the game. While other tanks just soak damage, Meiko is a “hybrid tank with carry potential”. Her kit is built around a dynamic combo system, using three core techniques to unleash one of six powerful finishers. This gives her unparalleled flexibility. She can adapt to any situation, providing high personal damage, self-sustain, and rock-solid control. Her skill ceiling is massive, but once you master her combos, her survivability and utility are “unmatched”. She is the complete package.
Mara (Melee DPS)

If you live for those giant, screen-clearing crit numbers, Mara is your hero. She is the “queen” of damage dealers, with what is widely considered the “best single target” burst in the game. Mara is a high-investment hero, her damage potential “skyrockets” once you start getting good gear. Her kit, which revolves around combo points, stealth, and poisons, is “punishing if misplayed”. You have to nail your setup and finisher timing. But when you do, you will erase bosses and top the damage charts. She is a high-skill, high-reward assassin that is dominating the DPS rankings.
A-Tier: The Power Picks
These heroes are the backbone of the meta. They are powerful, consistent, and you can never go wrong by having one on your team.
Tariq (Melee DPS)

Tariq is an absolute beast and a much more well-rounded melee pick than Mara. He’s the hero the video transcript called “TK,” but the live version is so much more. He channels storm energy, and his kit is built around tempo and timing. The result? He outputs “some of the highest numbers in the game” while also being “incredibly tanky and mobile”. This mix of huge damage and personal survivability makes him a monster in both dungeons and solo play. He might have a slightly lower damage ceiling than a perfect Mara, but his consistency and durability are unmatched.
Helena (Tank)

Helena is my “progression queen.” In my full Fellowship review, I called her the perfect hero to learn the game with, and I stand by that. She is an “extremely low skill-floor tank” with “immense reliability”. Her “Toughness” mechanic is straightforward: keep it high to get massive damage reduction. She is the “safer option” and perfect for pick-up groups.
So why is she not S-Tier? Because she hits a wall. In the absolute hardest, highest-tier content, her pure mitigation style “struggles to survive” and she “requires a lot of healer attention”. This is a “big weakness” that Meiko just does not have. She is still a fantastic, A-Tier tank, but Meiko has pulled ahead in the endgame race.
Sylvie (Healer)

In the great healer debate, I am putting Sylvie firmly in A-Tier. She is “currently the best healer” in the game. Her playstyle is proactive, using her “Flutterflies” to provide constant healing-over-time. This is amazing for “beginner-friendly” healing, as it’s less reactive and keeps the group stable. But she also has a high ceiling, contributing solid damage and utility in coordinated groups. Her ability to “easily switch between support and damage” gives her the edge.
Ardeos (Ranged DPS)

The master of fire and “Detonate”! Ardeos is a fantastic ranged DPS who is all about setting up his damage-over-time effects and then blowing them up for massive burst. He is a much “safer” pick than Mara, with less punishing mechanics and “great at mob clears”. He provides “strong, easy-to-access damage”. He only sits in A-Tier because his damage, while great, does not scale quite as hard as Mara’s in a pure single-target boss burn.
Elarion (Ranged DPS)

The celestial archer (called Allarion in the beta video) is the king of mobility. He excels at “long-range attacks” and can “shot on the move”, which is invaluable in a game with so many ground effects. His damage is excellent, and he brings a “mass grip” utility skill that is god-tier for grouping up stubborn trash mobs. He is a staple in any dungeon-clearing group.
B-Tier: The Niche Specialists
These heroes are not bad, not by a long shot. They are just outclassed by the heroes above them or fill a niche that is less in-demand right now.
Rime (Ranged DPS)
Rime, the frost mage, is the “safest solo queue experience” for a new player. Her kit is “extremely simple to play” and has great control. Her weakness? She is “outpaced” by the other DPS options. Her damage just is not on the same level as Ardeos, Elarion, Mara, or Tariq. She is a great starter hero, but you will likely feel the damage ceiling as you push into the endgame.
Vigour (Healer)

Vigour is the classic reactive healer, and that is his main problem. He is “overshadowed by Sylvie” in almost every way. While his “reliable reactive healing” can feel strong, his “main drawback is his single target healing”. He lacks the ability to output huge “spot healing”, which is exactly what tanks need when they get chunked in high-end content. He is a “situational specialist” who struggles when the damage gets really spikey.

My Final Thoughts
So there you have it, my definitive list for the current meta. The most important takeaway is that the meta is still new and player skill can make any hero viable. Meiko and Mara are ruling the top end, but they demand mastery. Heroes like Helena and Sylvie are the stable, reliable core of the A-Tier.
Ultimately, my advice is to pick the hero you love. But if you want to know who has the highest ceiling right now, this is the list.
I will be updating this as the meta evolves and patches drop, so be sure to check back.
