I’ve seen it a hundred times. You’re in a tense, 200-meter sniper duel with another player on the Dam. You’re trading shots, moving between cover. Then, the noise of your high-caliber rifles brings in the cavalry. But it’s not your cavalry. Suddenly, a pack of Wasps is zipping over your head, a swarm of Poppers is at your feet, and a Rocketeer just painted you with a target lock. Your “fair” 1v1 just became an unwinnable 1-vs-20.
In this chaotic PvPvE world, the player who controls the “E” almost always wins. And how do you control the “E”? You use smart grenades.
Today, I’m doing a deep-dive on the two most important anti-AI tools in your arsenal: the workhorse Seeker Grenade and its legendary big brother, the Wolfpack. Understanding this “one-two punch” is key to dominating your raids. I’ll cover how to find their blueprints, how to craft them, and the pro-tips for using them to turn the tide.
The Smart Grenade Family: Your Anti-AI Toolbox
First, let’s establish the ground rules for this entire class of weapon. Both the Seeker Grenade and the Wolfpack are “smart” consumables. When you throw them, they don’t just explode. They launch into the air and fire small, homing missiles that actively track down targets.
But here is the most important rule. I am going to say this multiple times in this guide because it is the most expensive mistake you can make:
These grenades ONLY target ARC (AI) enemies. They do ZERO damage to other players.
Do not, I repeat, do not throw these at an enemy Raider, expecting a free kill. It will not work. You will just look foolish, and they will shoot you in the face. Their true power is strategic: they are “AI-clearing” tools that let you focus on the real threat, the human player.
Think of them as two different tools for two different jobs. The Seeker Grenade is your scalpel, and the Wolfpack is your tactical nuke.
The Seeker Grenade: Your “Wolfpup” Workhorse
The Seeker Grenade is the “younger version” of the Wolfpack, and it will be your first and most common smart grenade. When you throw a Seeker, it launches into the air and fires 3 homing micro-missiles.
This is your bread-and-butter AI-management tool. It’s relatively cheap to craft, and you’ll find the blueprint for it very early in your career. I use Seekers constantly for small-scale problems:
- Clearing Flanks: You’re in a house, and a few Wasps or Drones are buzzing outside, giving away your position. A Seeker tossed out the window silences them instantly.
- Breaching Rooms: Need to enter a building full of Ticks or Poppers? A Seeker is the perfect “door knocker” to clear them out before you even step inside.
- Softening Targets: While 3 missiles won’t kill a high-tier bot, it’s great for getting a Rocketeer’s attention or finishing off a weakened ARC unit without wasting primary ammo.
The Seeker teaches you the mechanics of smart grenades. It’s with this item you’ll make your first mistakes, like throwing it indoors and watching it harmlessly tink off the ceiling. Better to make that mistake with a cheap Seeker than with its legendary big brother.
The Wolfpack: The Ultimate “Delete AI” Button
And now, the main event. The Wolfpack is what happens when the Seeker Grenade goes to college, gets a doctorate in explosives, and starts hitting the gym.
When you throw this legendary-tier device, it doesn’t fire 3 missiles. It unleashes a devastating salvo of 12 homing micro-missiles.
The Wolfpack is not a “management” tool. It is a “problem-solver.” It is an “oh-crap-button.” It is, quite simply, the most powerful anti-AI item in the game. That 1-vs-20 scenario I described? The Wolfpack turns it back into a 1v1 in about three seconds.
The total potential damage is massive, letting you vaporize entire swarms of lesser bots. It’s also your premiere boss-killing tool. A single, well-placed Wolfpack can one-shot a Rocketeer if all 12 missiles connect. It will rip a Bastion to shreds, and two of them will delete just about any ARC threat in the game.
Because of its power, it’s also incredibly expensive. This isn’t an item you spam. This is an item you save for one of two moments:
- You are about to be completely overwhelmed by AI.
- You need to kill a high-value-target (like a Rocketeer or Bastion) right now and take its loot.
The Hunt: Finding the Seeker and Wolfpack Blueprints
You can’t rely on just finding these in the wild. You need the blueprints (BPs) to craft them consistently.
- Seeker Grenade Blueprint: This one is easy. The Seeker BP is a Common (Green) item. You will almost certainly find this in your first few raids. Just loot every toolbox, bag, and cabinet you see. You’ll have this one unlocked before you know it.
- Wolfpack Blueprint: This is the real prize. The Wolfpack BP is an Epic (Pink) item, and finding one is a raid-defining moment. After hours of farming, the community and I have found the best hotspots. Your best bet is to run Night Raids in residential areas. Think Pale Apartments on the Dam map or the plazas in Buried City. I found my BP in a filing cabinet, not a high-tech military crate. When you find this pink item, your priorities change. Stop looting. Get to an extraction point. Your raid is over.
Crafting Comparison: The Scalpel vs. The Nuke
Once you have the blueprints, the crafting bench is where you’ll see the real difference. As I always say in my main ARC Raiders crafting guide, your materials and station levels dictate your loadout. This is a perfect example.

The recipes tell the whole story. The Seeker is cheap. Diodes are everywhere. The Wolfpack, however, requires ARC Motion Cores. You only get those from killing high-tier ARC like Rocketeers and Bastions. This creates a perfect gameplay loop: you have to hunt big ARC to build the item that hunts big ARC.
Pro-Tips for Both Smart Grenades (How Not to Waste Them)
There is no worse feeling than throwing a 5,000-Coin item and watching it do nothing. I’ve made all the mistakes so you don’t have to. These tips apply to both the Seeker and the Wolfpack.
- MIND THE CEILING. This is the number one, all-caps, most important rule. Both grenades launch their missiles upwards first. If you throw this indoors, under a low bridge, or in a dense forest, the missiles will hit the ceiling and explode, wasting the entire grenade. You must have clear, open sky.
- LOB, DON’T SPIKE. You don’t need to be accurate. The missiles have a huge seek radius (100m for the Wolfpack). Your goal is to get the grenade into an open area, not to hit a bot with it. I find lobbing it high or bouncing it off a wall so it detonates mid-air gives the missiles a better tracking angle.
- THE PVPVE STRATEGY. I’ll say it a final time. These are not PvP weapons. They are PvE tools for PvP fights. Use the Seeker to clear the few drones harassing you so you can focus on the player. Use the Wolfpack to instantly reset the battlefield when a player tries to use a 20-bot swarm as their personal army.
- KNOW WHEN TO USE WHICH. Don’t waste a Wolfpack on two Wasps. That’s a Seeker’s job. Don’t try to kill a Bastion with a single Seeker. That’s a Wolfpack’s job. Using the right tool for the job is the mark of a veteran Raider.

The Seeker and Wolfpack grenades are essential parts of your ARC Raiders loadout. The Seeker is your reliable, everyday scalpel for managing the AI threat. The Wolfpack is your “break glass in case of emergency” tactical nuke that can turn a guaranteed wipe into a legendary victory.
