Fellowship Dungeon Tier List: Best Dungeons for Farming Gear

Hey everyone, Elias here from RivalSector.com. If you’ve been diving into Fellowship like I have, you know the real game begins once you hit the endgame grind. You are juggling different difficulty leagues like Contender, Adept, and Champion, and you are trying to push your Gear Score to that sweet 190+ Paragon level.

But let’s be real, not all dungeons are created equal.

Some dungeons are a 10-minute loot explosion. Others are a 30-minute slog for the exact same reward. As your friendly neighborhood guide writer, I have spent way too much time grinding all of them to figure out which are worth your time and which are, frankly, a trap.

This is my definitive dungeon tier list for Fellowship, ranked purely on efficiency, rewards, and overall loot-per-minute. If you want to gear up fast, this is the list you need.

What Makes a Top-Tier Dungeon in Fellowship?

Before I just drop the list, let’s talk about my criteria. A “good” dungeon is not just about fun or story. For this list, I am ranking them based on what gets you the most gear in the least amount of time.

Here is what I am looking for:

  • Loot-per-Minute: This is the number one metric. How fast can you complete the run versus the quality and quantity of the loot you get at the end?
  • Boss Count: In Fellowship, most dungeons drop similar rewards. This means dungeons with only one boss are almost always more efficient than dungeons with three.
  • Trash Density & Skips: Can you skip annoying trash packs? Or are you forced into a long, linear gauntlet? Top-tier dungeons have dense, easy-to-pull packs and minimal downtime.
  • Mechanic Simplicity: We are not ranking for difficulty here, but for speed. A boss with a long, unskippable roleplay phase or a complex, wipe-heavy mechanic is inefficient.

With that said, let’s get to the list.

S-Tier Deep Dive: The Holy Trinity of Farming

You want to know where to spend 90% of your time? It is right here.

Empyrean Sands, Sailor’s Abyss, and Silken Hollow are the “Holy Trinity” of the Fellowship grind. The reason is simple: they each have only one boss. In a game where the final chest is what matters most, cutting out two-thirds of the boss fights triples your efficiency.

Empyrean Sands is the community favorite. You can clear it in about 10 minutes, and the boss, Sin-Magir, has very telegraphed attacks. Sailor’s Abyss is my personal pick when I am hunting for new rings and amulets. Silken Hollow is just a clean, simple run that is perfect for warming up or when you are playing with a less-experienced group.

If you are serious about gearing, make these three dungeons your home.

A-Tier: Your Bread and Butter (With a Twist)

The A-Tier is where you find the best all-around dungeons. Wyrmheart and Stormwatch are both fantastic one-boss instances. They are slightly more complex than the S-Tier, so they might take a few minutes longer, but they offer great rewards and are, honestly, a lot of fun.

Then there is the outlier: Heart of Tuzari. I am putting this in A-Tier because you have to run it. It is a 3-boss capstone dungeon, so it is long and tough. But it holds the keys to some of the most powerful set bonuses in the game. My advice: run your S-Tier dungeons to get a solid gear base, then use that gear to tackle Heart of Tuzari for your build-defining pieces.

B-Tier and C-Tier: The “For Fun” and “Avoid” Runs

I put Wraithtide Vault and Godfall Quarry in B-Tier because they are not bad. They are just inefficient. Wraithtide Vault is one of the most cinematic experiences in the game, but a 30-minute, 3-boss run for one set of rewards is a bad trade. Run these when you are bored of the S-Tier, but not when you are trying to be productive.

The C-Tier dungeons, however, should be avoided for farming. Ransack of Drakheim and Everdawn Grove are beautiful but take forever. Urrak Markets and Cithrel’s Fall are actively punishing, with mechanics designed to wipe uncoordinated groups. You get the same loot from these as you do from Empyrean Sands. Why put yourself through the pain?

A Quick Note: Difficulty vs. Efficiency

Now, it is critical to understand this list is for efficiency, not difficulty. The two are not the same.

In fact, some players find Wyrmheart (my A-Tier) to be the single easiest dungeon in the game. They are right. Its mechanics are very forgiving. The reason it is not S-Tier for farming is that S-Tier dungeons like Empyrean Sands are simply faster.

Conversely, a dungeon like Urrak Markets is not just inefficient, it is also one of the hardest dungeons in the game. It is the worst of both worlds.

Best Dungeons for Beginners

If you are a new player just stepping into the Contender or Adept leagues, where should you start? My list for pure beginners is a little different.

  1. Wyrmheart: This is the best place to learn. The mechanics are clear, the damage is forgiving, and it teaches you the fundamentals.
  2. Empyrean Sands: It is fast, easy, and will get you your first set of gear in no time.
  3. Silken Hollow: Another straightforward run with easy-to-read boss telegraphs.
  4. Stormwatch: This is your first “step up.” The boss is less forgiving, but the path is clear. It is a great place to test your new gear.

My Final Verdict

Grinding in Fellowship is all about playing smart, not hard.

Your game plan should be to farm the S-Tier (Empyrean Sands, Sailor’s Abyss, Silken Hollow) for your base set of gear. Mix in the A-Tier (Wyrmheart, Stormwatch) for variety. Once you have a solid Gear Score, start targeted runs in Heart of Tuzari for your unique set pieces.

Avoid the C-Tier like the plague unless a specific item you need only drops there. Your time is more valuable than that.

What do you think? Is my list on point, or am I crazy for putting Ransack of Drakheim in the C-Tier? Let me know your own farming routes in the comments below. For more deep dives and build guides, be sure to check out our full Gaming Insights category.

Now if you will excuse me, I have another Empyrean Sands run to do.
